Lexus IS 250C - Interior Design features
Benefitting from the same high levels of luxury, comfort, practicality and, of course, innovation, as the IS saloon the Lexus IS 250C incorporates a number of bespoke technical revisions designed to ensure the on-board comfort and entertainment systems operate effectively when the roof is down.
The Lexus IS 250C driver’s instrument panel has been extensively revised to ensure good visibility is maintained during top-down driving.
The climate control system has also been configured for roofless motoring, with the addition of speed sensitive control, which automatically increases air flow when the roof is lowered and further increases it in line with vehicle speed. Both the standard eight-speaker 246W premium sound system and the 12-speaker Mark Levinson Premium Surround Sound system features equaliser tuning for the best performance whether the roof is up or down. Both systems provide USB and audio jack plug connectivity for full control of personal music players such as iPods. Bluetooth mobile phone connectivity is also provided, with an audio/video streaming function. The new Lexus Navigation System is one of the fastest and most accurate systems on the market covering the whole of Europe.
Headroom and legroom has been optimised, whilst access to the rear seats is made easier by wide-aperture doors, compared to the saloon and a one-touch walk-in button which automatically folds and slides the seat forwards. Generous luggage space has been achieved by lengthening the rear overhang by 50mm and exceptionally compact packaging of the folding roof structure.
